Why Tempe Montessori School? Tempe Montessori School strives to provide a quality AMI Montessori education for their students, and to help parents achieve their highest goals in the education of their children, by following the teachings of Dr. Maria Montessori in an effective and sensitive manner.

With programs for Nido, Toddler, Primary, and Elementary up through 6th grade, Tempe Montessori School's educational process continuously builds upon itself to meet the changing developmental needs of each child. As they grow and continue in their Montessori education, students gradually move from concrete learning methods into more abstract materials, working both in groups and individually with qualified teachers as their guides.

The Elementary program is for children ages 6 through twelve years old or first through sixth grade.  Housed in one large classroom, a mixed age group of 6 to 12 years old brings together a collective society of different skills, academic success, friendship, opportunities for growth, leadership and collaboration. The Elementary community works together to build their school days, tend to the gardens, care for the classroom environments and materials as well as each other.  A key component of the Elementary program are weekly classroom meetings. The children and teachers come together to discuss goals, issues and ideas they would like to see implemented into their day. The children are given the responsibility to plan their day and lessons they would like to work with. Weekly one on one meetings with the teacher help the child to meet and maintain their goals.
